IMPORTANT - Before you install
CYBERsitter...
If you or others in your
household have installed free software from the Internet such as file sharing, music sharing,
browser utilities, etc. it is possible that secret "spyware" or advertising
programs were installed on your computer without your knowledge. These
programs can cause serious problems with legitimate Internet products such
as CYBERsitter and even Windows itself.
Important Update:
We strongly advise you to read
this article
from
PC-Magazine (April 22, 9.0 issue) if you have any music sharing
software installed on your computer, such as Kazaa, Morpheus, etc. These
programs install "SpyWare" programs on your computer that can do serious
damage and can cause problems with numerous Internet applications including
CYBERsitter.
If you have any of the
programs listed in the article installed on your computer, we recommend that
you download one of the programs they recommend such as
SpyBot Search &
Destroy (Editors Choice & free) to detect and remove these spyware
programs. We cannot stress too highly the probability that you will
eventually experience severe problems because of these programs.
